Compassion at work is essential, says Rachael Hill, mental health coach for Posturite. She believes that truly listening to colleagues can transform workplace wellbeing. Sharing stories and experiences helps build a culture of support, allowing everyone to perform at their best.

Hill’s perspective is shaped by both personal and professional experience. After years of struggling at school and in early jobs, a supportive manager helped her rebuild confidence and improve her mental health. Now, as a registered mental health nurse, she delivers workplace mental health strategy coaching for Posturite.

She will be speaking at Posturite’s upcoming webinar, ‘What does mental health support at work look like?’, on 26 February 2025.

To register for free, visit Posturite and select ‘Upcoming webinar’. Everyone who signs up will receive a recording to watch on demand.

The event will be hosted by Andy Rigby, Posturite’s enablement lead, and will also feature Natalia Finnegan, wellbeing manager at TELUS Digital.

“Our webinar series at Posturite now feels like a real community of people who care about wellbeing at work” says Rigby. “We get such great engagement, questions and interaction from the HR and wellbeing team members who attend each month. I love being part of these powerful discussions on aspects of enablement including working after cancer and stroke, support for dyslexia, menopause, work stress, ADHD, hearing loss, autism, and many more topics.”

Attendees will learn more about:

  • How teams can normalise conversations about mental health
  • The role of compassion in workplace culture
  • The impact of storytelling and shared experiences
  • Mental health initiatives that are working in other organisations
  • The organisational cost of poor mental health
  • How senior leaders can set the tone on mental health

There will be plenty of time for discussion, so bring your questions.

Prioritising workplace wellbeing makes a difference—not just to individuals, but to retention and performance. The CIPD’s Health and Wellbeing at Work report (2023) found that 75% of employees are ‘more likely’ to stay with an organisation that takes wellbeing seriously.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of the conversation.
