Innovation is the lifeblood of successful organisations, driving growth, competitive advantage, and transformational change. To thrive in today’s ever-changing business landscape, companies must foster an innovation culture and equip their leaders with the knowledge and mindset to create and implement ground-breaking ideas.

In its simplest terms, innovation is about creating new and useful things. It starts with an idea, but the question remains: Can you teach someone to generate ideas?

We think you can, and we rely on this truth at Hult Ashridge. Innovation runs through everything we teach. We have been at the forefront of leadership and management development for over 60 years, delivering world-class learning to thousands of leaders worldwide. We go beyond traditional learning approaches, placing a strong emphasis on fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. Through our levy-funded apprenticeship programmes, we help organisations unleash their workforce’s creative potential and drive innovation from within.

Frederick Holscher, a thought leader, digital age strategist, and specialist in transformational leadership, teaches a module of our Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship. He maintains that willingness to innovate and transform comes from engaging with diverse ideas and people, so we bring these people together in our apprenticeships. It involves seeking creative solutions to bring different perspectives into a cohesive whole. This means lots of lively discussion and debate in class to broaden apprentices’ minds and expand their thinking. Through his teaching on our Senior Leader Apprenticeship, he helps leaders to trade their fear of the unknown for curiosity.

One of the key advantages of Hult Ashridge apprenticeships is the focus on practical learning. Apprentices gain a deep understanding of innovation concepts and frameworks through a combination of academic theory and real-world application. This hands-on approach ensures that participants can immediately apply their newfound knowledge to their work, embedding their learning and resulting in tangible impact for their organisation.

Apprenticeships foster a mindset of continuous learning and experimentation. We encourage participants to embrace failure as part of the journey to success. This mindset shift is crucial in an innovation culture. It empowers employees to think differently, explore new possibilities, and make creative decisions to propel their organisation forward.

Hult Ashridge delivers leadership and management apprenticeships from Level 5 Operations/Departmental manager through to Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeships. Find out more at hult.edu/ashridge/apprenticeships.
